Berry kysil (starch drink): Directions

Step 1

Bring water to a boil in a saucepan and add sugar (it has to dissolve fully). Add a mixture of your favorite fruit and berries. Cook for 5–10 minutes to infuse the water with their taste.

Step 2

Dissolve starch in a glass of cold water and gradually add to the fruit mixture, stirring constantly to avoid the formation of starch clots.

Step 3

Cook for several more minutes until the kysil thickens.

Step 4

Serve kysil well cooled.
