Ingredients

500 g of salted herring fillets
500 ml of milk
5 medium-sized potatoes
1 red onion
3 tbsp. of sunflower oil

Appetizer of herring and potato: Directions

Put herring fillets in a small container and fill it with milk (500 ml). Put the container in the fridge for 1 hour.

Boil 5 potatoes In a saucepan with salted water. Don’t peel it and cut it. In order not to over boil the potatoes, you can add 1 tbsp. sunflower oil and cook over medium heat at the beginning of cooking. Check the readiness of the potatoes by carefully piercing with a thin knife. The knife should fit easily into the flesh of the potato.

Drain the potatoes and let them cool. An hour later, remove the herring fillets from the milk, wet with a paper towel and cut into small pieces.
