In Ukraine we cook Pampushky as a snack to Borscht. But I think that Pampushky deserves to be a separate dish. So once I tried to cook them with a rum glaze and to my surprise it was wonderful. A fluffy bun soaked with a strong but sweet rum glaze impressed me a lot.

Pampushky with rum glaze: Directions
Add 10 g of fresh yeast in 450 g of flour, also add ½ tsp. salt and 1 tbsp. of sugar. But place them from different corners of the bowl so that there is no direct contact. Mix the dry ingredients thoroughly. Add 250 g of warm milk and 100 g of soft butter.

Knead a very elastic dough that should not stick to your hands. If it’s necessary - lightly sprinkle the table with flour. But be careful so the dough is not tight. Leave it in a warm place under a clean towel or cling film for 40-45 minutes to rise. During this time, the dough should increase by 2-3 times.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. After that form 12 balls. Carefully put them in a baking pan pre-greased with vegetable oil or butter.

Leave them aside for 30 minutes. Then bake in an oven for 25-30 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the rum glaze. Boil the syrup with 40 ml of water and 150 g of sugar. Then pour the syrup into a bowl
