Pickled mushrooms, apples and onions: Directions
Pickled mushrooms. Wash the mushrooms well and pat dry with a paper towel. Prepare the marinade. Add the following ingredients to sugar, bay leaf, black pepper and allspice berries, finely diced dill, coriander seeds, pressed garlic, salt and onions cut into thin half circles. Warm the water to help salt and sugar dissolve, and to make sure that the spices release their flavors. Cover the mushrooms with the marinade and leave for at least 1–2 hours.
Pickled apples. Wash apples well and slice into thin slices horizontally. Sprinkle with sugar and salt. Add finely diced dill and pepper berries. Add a little bit of water and leave to marinate for 1 hour.
Pickled red onions. Mix room temperature water with sugar and spice until sugar dissolves fully. Peel the onions and slice into thin circles or semicircles. Cover the sliced onions with the marinade in a small bowl and leave for 1–2 hours.
