Italian pasta has long been a classic comfort dish for millions of people in every corner of the world. For example, the recipe for pasta bolognese is one of the most popular dishes in the world. But pasta with seafood is a different kind of gastronomic delight. It is popular in all countries where there is sea or ocean, that is, access to fresh seafood.
What seafood to use for pasta?
I used a frozen seafood mix in my recipe. Of course, if possible, it is better to choose fresh seafood. It’s softer and more flavorful. But frozen seafood is also good in a dish.
I used a seafood mix with squid, mussels, shrimp and octopus. But there are no restrictions at all. You can choose one type of seafood for pasta, you can mix them with each other in any way. After all, it will definitely be delicious, whether you choose scallops, mussels or shrimps.
As to the shape of the pasta itself, there are also no restrictions, use your favorite kind. I chose spaghetti. Today’s seafood pasta recipe requires a minimum of effort and minimum cooking time. Just 15 minutes and a gourmet dinner is ready. Enjoy!
How to prepare seafood pasta
Ingredients
Seafood Pasta: Directions
Prepare all the ingredients for making seafood pasta. If you have a frozen pack of mixed seafood, defrost it in the refrigerator or let it thaw in a bowl of cold water. Boil the pasta in salted water (use about 10g of salt per liter of water) for about 7 minutes. Read the instructions on the package and cook for 1 minute less, as it will continue cooking in the seafood sauce. Use a knife to crush 2 cloves of garlic. Cut the chili peppers into thin slices and finely dice the onion half.

Preheat a skillet with 1 tbsp. l. olive oil and 50 g of butter. First fry the chili and garlic in this mixture, then add the onion and saute until soft.

Add the seafood to the skillet.

Add the canned tomatoes. Tomato juice can be used instead. Pour in 50 ml of white wine.

Remove the pasta from the hot water 1 minute before it has completely cooked through and transfer it to the skillet with the seafood and sauce. Let all of the ingredients cook through together for a few minutes.

Scoop the pasta into bowls and season with freshly ground black pepper. If you wish, finely grate some parmesan on top. Although Italians do not recommend mixing parmesan and seafood or fish in the same dish, you can adjust the dish to your liking.
