Let’s continue to travel through the culinary world and expand our gastronomic horizons. Today I suggest cooking a classic recipe from Great Britain. It’s simple and fast enough to cook. A crumble is a traditional dessert made with crumbly, buttery streusel topping, and ours will have an amazing apple filling. Since our main ingredient is apple, I decided to saturate it with flavor and added apple cider. Can you imagine how many apples we get in one dish? I’m sure this apple crumble will become your favorite treat.

Preheat the oven to 180C. Peel, core and roughly dice the apples. Saute them in a frying-pan on medium heat with the sugar and butter till the apples have softened slightly.

When the apple juices begin to evaporate, add the apple cider, lemon juice and a pinch of cinnamon. Keep sauteing until the cider is reduced and the apples are soft.

In a bowl, combine the flour, oats and a pinch of salt. In a separate bowl, beat an egg with the water. Mix the egg mixture into the flour mixture. Stir it until it has a crumbly, sand-like texture.

Butter an ovenproof baking dish, spread the apples in an even layer and top them with the crumble mixture. Bake for 15 minutes or until the crumble is browned.
